how it started
Chocoletzle was an idea built off a marketing assignment I was given my sophomore year in high school (6 years ago now!). I was required to create a business with all profits going towards the Make-A-Wish Foundation. With a bit of brainstorming, my project partner and I came up with the idea to sell chocolate covered pretzels. In our desire to support our local Midland, Michigan community, we decided to donate the profits to a boy battling cancer right in our town.
The business, PK Pretzels, did phenomenal as we sold 874 pretzels with $1,200 in profits during a period of 2 months. By the time it was over, I saw the potential it had in becoming an actual business. I loved every aspect from the hands on marketing experience to making the pretzels on a Saturday morning. I decided to take the risk and create Chocoletzle the following summer in 2019, hoping that it would turn into something great. Little did I know how much my product line would expand!
Since then, we have relocated quite a bit! From Midland to Mount Pleasant (as I attended Central Michigan University) to Waukesha (where my family is now based) and now Atlanta, Chocoletzle has grown alongside me every step of the way.
